SJ Packaging installs Advance folder-gluer from Robus India

Angad Minhas, director, SJ Packaging, said, “We wanted to increase our speed of production and automatic folding-gluing was the process where we were lacking because of an old generation machine. Thus, the folder-gluer became the need of the hour. We installed the folder-gluer from Robus India because of the way Prem Viswakarma and his team helped us understand how a new generation machine will help us explore more opportunities. More than 80% of our clients come from the shoe industry and the shoe boxes are short and wide. This is our first machine from Robus India.” Minhas said in the shoe industry normally the boxes were stitched and so the company didn’t require the folder-gluer. Now the industry is shifting from stitched to glued boxes. So there was a need for a folder-gluer. Other reasons for investing in the machine, according to Minhas, were deduction in labour cost, higher productivity and efficiency.
